Comments: Again I felt really strong. Going in I knew I could do it. There was no doubt in my mind and I think that really helped. I actually got up a 1/2 hour earlier than I usually do, but that might be because I crashed on the couch at 9pm lol
I GUed at about mile 5.5. I walked a little after mile 1, 3, and at a couple of water stops. MY ITB started aching after mile 8, but it got better after about a 1/2 mile.
As I was circling (mile 7 to 8) Antrim Park (1 mile loop around a lake) I was thinking how about 10 years ago I used to go there trying to run that mile. I’d huff and puff, walk and run all the way around just to get back into my car to smoke a cigarette! This time around there was no struggling and no cigarette!
Next week is 10 miles. I am looking forward to it…someone shoot me!
Cranky, thanks for all your encouraging posts, they really help! 🙂
