Comments: I wasn’t sure how far I was able to go today. I told the hubby that I might be calling him at mile 8 or 9 to be picked up. I was feeling good at mile nine other than I could feel blisters in the making (but then I had been feeling them since mile 4). I walked ever mile for 0.9 miles to drink and stretch, I think that really helped.
Mile 4 and 5 where the easiest, cause they were downhill all the way. In turn mile 6 and 7 where a bitch, all uphill.
I was tired at mile 10, but told myself “it’s only a mile”. About 1/2 mile from home my non-favorite dog decided to chase me, so I had to walk and then actually stop. I make a point of running on the other side of the road just to put more distance between me and the dog should he come out. He came running towards me and then was actually was standing in front of me on the road, growling, barking and his hair standing up. I wanted to tell the owner of the dog off when he finally came out and called his dog back, but I was to tired nothing came out.
Overall this was a good run. I am glad I went the distance, I just hope I won’t be too sore the next few days! lol
Crankygirl, I wish you the best of luck tomorrow in your NY City Triathlon. Go kick some butt, just not your own! 😉

Congratulations on the training run–you must be relieved.
Thanks for the good wishes; they are much appreciated! Yes, I’m glad that tri training is over…but next weekend, I start training for the NY marathon. I have a half-marathon (http://nyrr.org/races/2007/nychalf/index.asp) to do in two weeks. Wow, I wish I hadn’t just remembered that.
