Comments: It was only 74 degrees outside this afternoon and overcast. Great day to run!
Yesterday’s run was still on my mind as I headed out the door around 4pm. My legs were still a bit tight, but not nearly as bad as yesterday. I ended up running 5.63 miles in 1:03:10 (11:15). Hurray!
I ran my regular route but then decided, because of rush hour traffic, to change my way a little and ended up running a part of the Columbus marathon route; the last 3/4 mile of that route to be exact. Of course I ran on the sidewalk, but mentally I was running on the road. There I was making the corner onto Nationwide Blvd towards the finish, feeling pretty darn good! 🙂
Thinking back, I have watched people finish this race and that part of the race is so emotionally charging. I can’t wait until someone screams at me “You are almost there, just around the corner…” or “Looking strong, just a little bit farther and you got it!” as I did to the runners then…I think I heard cowbells during that part of my run! lol
Much better run today then yesterday, that’s all I wanted. Rest day tomorrow!

Congratulations on a good run. Hope the 18 goes well–only 4 weeks to my first 18 of the year.

That’s exciting to have run part of the course. I always picture how it will be at that point in the race. Must have been cool.
