Comments: Walked .10 of a mile every mile. Right leg was tight and ached the whole way; no knee pain though!!! The ache did not get worse and I did not get shin splint pains. Overall not a bad run.
The following day my right leg was very sore right above the knee in the back. I am pretty sure it’s just a muscle ache! My piriformis muscle is also aching, but not bad. Continuing with the iceing and stretching when possible.
Depending how next week 22 miler is going, which I am looking forward to by the way, I’ll make the decision on running the full or the half. Coming home after runing the 12 I felt I could have gone out and do it again. I am very happy about that.
