Treadmill, Stair-Stepper

Comments: My thought process over the course of the morning:

At my desk: “I’ll run the 2 miles outside, I haven’t run outside in a while…maybe I’ll run tomorrow, I just don’t feel like working out….oh, snow and ice tomorrow, well I’ll run today…”

Lockerroom: “Crap, what the hell is wrong with me, why didn’t I check to make sure I have running clothes packed instead of indoor workout clothes…it’s 11 now and the 20 min limit on machines means I can’t get my two miles in…what a goof I am!”

So I signed up for 20 min on the treadmill and with all the elliptical riders & stationary bikes being used, I signed up for the stairstepper after that.

2 miles @ work treadmill

Comments: I did not get my outdoor running clothes ready, so I ran on the treadmill instead. I noticed also, even though I am slower on the treadmill overall I spend less time in the gym if I run 2 miles indoors instead of outdoors. Perhaps it’s because of less layers and the fact that I can start running right away instead of walking to my starting point first.

If I could only come to like the treadmill a bit better! 😉

I still have occasional pains in my left side, but they are not nearly as intense as they used to be and less frequently than in the past. 🙂

Time: 10 am

Workout: Treadmill

Duration: ?

Miles: 2

Calories: 202

2 miles @ home (12:05)

Comments: I felt pretty good. Ran faster than I thought I would. For some reason I thought I would not be able to run two miles, but I still felt good at the end of mile two. I walked in the door and serenaded my husband and kids with the song “I feel good!”  To my amazement they didn’t run out of the house with their ears bleeding! lol

Weather: 25 (feels like 13)

Clothes: Long sleeve shirt, Pants, Hat, Gloves

Shoes: Saucony

Distance: 2

Time: 24:09

Split: 12:05

Course: To the bridge and back.

Dr. visit

The doctor is not sure why I am still hurting…he wants to give my body time to heal and re-evaluate me in 4 weeks.

I am better than I was 4 weeks ago, so perhaps it’s just taking time to heal. 🙂 I am looking forward to running tomorrow…gonna see if I can handle the cold weather and run 2 miles.

1 mile @ work (11:09)

Comments: Well…my “innerts” didn’t fall out and I didn’t flop on the floor with major camps…so I guess all is well. 🙂 However…I still have the same pains as I did before. Not nearly as strong, but I still have them. 😦 Hopefully I’ll get some insight on it tomorrow.

The run in itself was good. It was great to be back out there, circling the “oh so familiar” COSI building! 🙂 I don’t have time to run tomorrow, but I would like to run 1 to 2 miles on Saturday…I need to get back into the routine, the 1/2 marathon, after all, is in less then 3 months (if my math is right)!

Weather:  32

Clothes: Long sleeve shirt, Pants, Hat, Gloves

Shoes: Saucony

Distance: 1

Time: 11:09

Split: 11:09

Course: Cosi x 1

Bike @ work 21 min

Rode the stationary bike at work for 21 min, covering 7.5 miles.  My body is not ready to run yet. The incision at my navel is still sore (but healing just fine).  Overall I feel much better, the pains I had before the procedure are minimal. Follow up with the doctor is the end of this week.
