Comments: I was thinking that running with the 11 min/mile group should be safe. But not today. After mile 3 I had to walk. Side stitches had kicked in after about 1.5 miles and they ever so kindly stayed with me for the remainder of the run.
After running last year mostly by myself I came to realize today that I am not a pack rat, meaning I can’t run with a group. The last 3 miles I ran behind the group and did much better than the first half. I do enjoy the people in my pace group, but the next time I’ll go I’ll be running behind them and not in the middle of them. I felt like I was running in someone else’s shoes, being that we were running 2 by 2 and I had to match the person’s steps in front of me in order not to step onto their feet.

I am not thrilled about my time, but I am ok with it.

Course: Group run, up and down the Olentangy Bikepath.
