Comments: Today started DAY ONE of my half marathon training adventure (No. 10). My goal is to be able to cross the finish line in a faster time than last year.
I just read through some old posts of mine back from August ’07. Even though I am not much faster now than I was back then, I have learned so much about myself and the sport. I would not trade it for the world.
An update on my father-in-law: He endured his 8th chemo last week and took a tumble that evening when he got dizzy and fell. We learned that the toilett is much harder than his head, and now he is sporting a good sized boo-boo on his forehead. He has 3 chemos left and I will be so glad for him when this is over. He is just so miserable and each chemo treatment just hits him harder. I am so very proud of him for staying so strong (even though he feels so weak).
Last week the hubby and I went on our annual quadding (four wheeler) trip to Michigan. Just like the previous years, we had a great time and hated having to come back. If retirement is all about that kind of life, then I am ready to retire today!
Here are a few pictures from our adventure. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did when they were taken.
I found what appears to be a good application for my iPhone. I currently track my running on http://runningahead.com (and plan to continue to do so). That website is now integrated with Facebook (until the app is approved by FB you can find the app link here). However, the technical geek that I am not, I am always looking for great gadget or application to tickle my fancy. I found this: Pace. I wish it would also allow me to add non-running workouts, perhaps that will come in future updates.
