Comments: According to my Garmin I ran the first mile in 9:44! *gasp* I did feel really strong, but then my second mile was more in sync with what I usually run, 11:02. The third mile was 10:50 (not bad).
I bought new running shoes at Front Runner. I was under the impression Saucony no longer made my shoe “ProGrid Trigon 5 Guide”, because I could no longer find them on the internet. But it turns out the shoe just underwent some cosmetic changes and they renamed it to “ProGrid Gruide”. So all is well in the Land of Feet. I was dreading having to look for new shoes, but I walked away a happy customer.
I am hoping to have them broken in before the first 1/2, if not that’s ok. I have not looked at the sole of my current shoes in a while, but last night I did. The rubber part on the outside heal of both shoes is scuffed off! I contribute that to my shuffle running (not getting my feet very high of the ground). I’ll have to work on the being that they only have 300 miles on them!
