Comments: The legs were really tired from yesterday’s hard run, so I was deciding about using the elliptical rider or just skipping the workout all together and walk to our favorite sandwich shop for lunch wit’ the husband. But then I remembered the promise to myself and sent the hubby an e-mail telling him that I wanted to “walk, walk” for lunch.
He takes his lunch a bit later than I do, so at 11:30, equipped with shorts and walking shoes we were out the door. I told him we’d walk out 1.5 miles and back 1.5.
We started off at a good speed (left my Garmin at my desk), and made it to the 1.5 mile mark in a decent time. But then, all of a sudden, like a tire going flat, I felt drained. My leg wobbled and my brain was wishy washy. Thank goodness the symptoms weren’t too bad and we managed to walk back the 1.5 to work without any problems.
Once we got cleaned up I gobbled my food down like there was no tomorrow!
I figure with us working out an hour and half later than I am used to I just didn’t have enough food in me to handle the exercise. Lesson learned!
